An autoimmune disease
is a dysfunction in the immune system that leads to the body itself becoming a foreign invader and is attacked by its own built in protective system; the immune system. While those numbers are up for debate and include many chemicals no longer in use or not approved (read this article to hear a different perspective on the amount of chemicals in use) , the human’s lifestyle has drastically changed over the last 150 years and our bodies are showing signs of the shifts.

Our current city culture has disconnected us from our natural environment in so many ways it will be hard to keep an up to date list. Though we will try:

- Decreased daily activity to build lean muscle mass

And the list goes on. Like we said, asking why autoimmune disease is on the rise is a LOADED question and there is no simple answer.
